Yesterday, they started building the second floor walls. This has to be one of the coolest things I've seen so far - they build the wall on the floor, in one big piece - then up it goes. By the end of Wednesday, they built and raised the side gable:

Afternoon wall beams!

But that wasn't all. They were banging away all day on Wednesday - much more had to be going on than that one side gable! They were also building the entire back gable and wall on Wednesday afternoon, and raised it first thing this morning ....

8AM Thursday morning!

So impressive - it has been four guys framing over these past two days - Byron, Julio, Erbin, and Reuben, with a few extra helpers early this morning to lift that big wall. The other exciting thing about today is that we can really see Brad's design taking shape - so cool!!
Lots of great shots from today's amazing progress:

Whoa, hold on tight!

All the work going on upstairs + all these holes in the old upstairs bedroom's subfloor = DUST!

By 2PM, they were on to the rafters

Hard at work all day - check out that "header" (main support beam) across the top!
